Hi, I’m Joice Dahianna — a Costa Rica wedding and elopement photographer based in Monteverde. Together with my husband Diego, our second shooter and drone pilot, we document weddings across Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia and beyond.

Do luxury wedding photographers in Costa Rica include drone coverage?


Drone coverage is part of our team's toolkit, but it's not something we can guarantee as a fixed package item — it depends on hotel/venue permits and weather conditions (rain and wind). Our team travels with a drone and uses it whenever conditions allow, at no additional cost to you.

Can you photograph an intimate wedding or private ceremony (elopement) in Costa Rica?

Yes — we specialize in both intimate elopements and full-scale luxury weddings across the country, from ceremonies in the Monteverde Cloud Forest to private beach weddings in Guanacaste, always with two photographers covering every wedding.

Do you offer wedding videography in Costa Rica?


We focus exclusively on photography to give it our full creative attention, and partner with a trusted videography team we personally recommend — so your day is fully documented in both photo and film, without compromising on either.

How do we book, and how does payment work?

Booking your wedding, elopement, or photo session is simple, no matter where you're located. We handle all consultations, planning, and communication remotely via email, making the process easy for international couples.

To reserve your date, a 50% retainer of your selected photography package is required. The remaining balance is due before your wedding or session.

International couples can make secure payments via PayPal, while couples based in Costa Rica can pay by local bank transfer.

Can you help plan or coordinate a destination wedding in Costa Rica, not just photograph it?

Yes. Through our partnership with Ceilyn Castro of Your White Wedding — one of the top destination wedding planners in Costa Rica — we can coordinate your full wedding logistics: venues, vendors, timelines, and design, all in sync with the photography from day one. It's the difference between beautiful photos and a truly spectacular gallery: when every detail is already handled, your day unfolds naturally, and that's exactly what ends up captured.

Do you photograph LGBTQ+ and same-sex weddings in Costa Rica?

Absolutely. We proudly photograph same-sex weddings and elopements across Costa Rica with the same candid, documentary approach we bring to every celebration — every love story deserves to be told honestly.

What's the best time of year for an outdoor wedding in Costa Rica?

Dry season (December to April) offers clear skies and is the most requested time of year, while green season (May to November) brings beautiful soft light and lush, vibrant landscapes with fewer people around. It is the rainy season, though, so I always make sure we have a solid backup plan for your wedding or elopement.

How far in advance should I book my date?

I strongly recommend booking 6 to 12 months ahead, especially during high season (December to April), when my calendar fills up fast. That said, don't hesitate to reach out even last-minute — sometimes a date opens up unexpectedly, so it's always worth asking.
