COSTA RICA | REAL ELOPEMENTS

Elopement Photography Portfolio in Costa Rica

I’m Joice Dahianna, and this is my collection of real elopements across Costa Rica — raw emotion, quiet vows, and the in-between moments that only exist when it’s just the two of you.

From secret ceremonies beneath the waterfalls of Nauyaca (Uvita) and El Tigre (Monteverde), to sunrise vows wrapped in cloud forest mist, or intimate moments framed by Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna — these are the places where your elopement could unfold next.

Real Elopements Across Costa Rica

I’m Joice Dahianna, and together with my husband Diego — the best team I could ask for — we’ve spent years chasing golden light through jungle trails and waterfall trails just to capture two people saying «I do» with no audience but the forest. No staged poses, no big productions — just real vows, bare feet, and whatever the weather decides to give us that day. Every elopement in this collection happened exactly the way it looks: unscripted, a little wild, and completely yours.

WHAT COUPLES SAY

Real elopements, real stories

Real couples from around the world share their experience working with a trusted Costa Rica elopement photographer.

From the very first moment, they made us feel completely comfortable and at ease. They have such a warm and positive energy that made the whole experience even more special.

Throughout our wedding, they captured every detail in such a natural and meaningful way, and the final gallery completely exceeded our expectations. The photos perfectly reflect how the day felt—the excitement, the joy, and every unforgettable moment.

Beyond their incredible talent, their kindness and dedication throughout the entire process were truly exceptional. They genuinely cared about making sure we enjoyed every single moment.

The only problem I have now is that the photos turned out so beautiful that I can’t decide which ones to print or share!

We couldn’t be happier with the results. We highly recommend them!

Do You Photograph Elopements Outside The Locations Shown Here?

Yes — the waterfalls, beaches, and forests in this portfolio are some of my favorites, but they’re not the only ones. If you have a specific spot in mind, anywhere in Costa Rica, let’s talk it through and see how we can make it happen.

Can I See The Full Gallery From A Specific Elopement?

Of course. Each gallery shown here is just a preview — if one of these elopements caught your eye, reach out and I’ll send you the full set of photos from that day.

How Do I Know Which Package Matches The Style I See In These Photos?

Every elopement in this portfolio was shot the same way, regardless of package — the real difference is coverage time and locations. Tell me which photos you’re drawn to, and I’ll help you find the package that fits.

Are These Real Elopements, Or Styled Photoshoots?

Every photo here is from a real couple’s real elopement — no models, no staged setups, no stock photography. What you see is exactly what happens when two people choose to say their vows on their own terms.

Do You Ask Permission Before Using Our Elopement Photos In Your Portfolio?

Yes. We always ask for your authorization before featuring your photos publicly — on our website, portfolio, or social media. If you’d prefer to keep your wedding private, we respect that completely, and this is written into your contract from the start, so there’s never any ambiguity about how your images are used.

Do You Photograph In The Rain, Like Some Of The Elopements Shown Here?

Always. Costa Rica’s rainy season brings some of my favorite light and some of the most romantic photos I’ve ever taken — rain has never stopped an elopement I’ve photographed, and it won’t stop yours either.

Can I Request A Specific Location From Your Portfolio For My Own Elopement?

Yes — if a waterfall, beach, or forest in this gallery speaks to you, tell me and I’ll help you plan your elopement around that exact spot, permits and logistics included.
