Silvia and Pablo’s family fell in love with the idea of exploring Curicancha Reserve for their family session in Monteverde. The forest itself is vast, but there’s plenty to discover within just 600 meters of the entrance — making it an easy, unhurried choice for a family with little ones.

The session doubled as a celebration: it was Eva’s birthday, the youngest of the family, and she was due for her first-year photos. Colors and outfits were coordinated ahead of time to stand out against the deep green of the forest, and the results spoke for themselves.

The girls made the most of the sunny weather, running freely through the garden and losing themselves in the moment. That same tropical garden turned out to be perfect for capturing bright, playful portraits with young children — proof that a family session in Monteverde can be just as much about adventure as it is about the photographs.
