For Guru and Mehek’s surprise proposal, getting there was already part of the adventure — Guru booked a horseback tour up to the mirador at Los Lagos Hotel, while we waited ahead of them, ready to capture the moment they arrived.

Guru reached into his bag for the ring and knelt down in front of Mehek, who had no idea what was coming. As he spoke from the heart, Arenal Volcano stood in full view behind them, turning an already emotional moment into something that felt genuinely magical. Mehek’s answer came without hesitation: yes.

After celebrating with them, the session continued for two more hours — moments at the lake, portraits at the viewpoint, a relaxed picnic, and even a few frames on horseback that added an extra layer of adventure and romance to the day. Eventually, it was time to say goodbye, leaving Guru and Mehek free to continue their tour and celebrate over a romantic dinner under the stars.

It was a spectacular, unhurried day — and one we felt lucky to be part of.
