REAL ELOPEMENT | LA FORTUNA WATERFALL
Julia & Chad Waterfall-Side Elopement at La Fortuna Waterfall
An elopement that began at the entrance of La Fortuna Waterfall and continued as everyone made their way down together to the viewpoint at the base of the falls — where Julia and Chad exchanged vows with the waterfall roaring behind them.
THE STORY
A Vow at Bottom of La Fortuna Waterfall
From the reception, we began making our way down — 500 steps, one at a time, into the rainforest. Julia and Chad were buzzing the whole way down, her dress catching flashes of white against the deep green as they walked toward one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Costa Rica: La Fortuna.
When we reached the viewpoint, the falls opened up right in front of us and the ceremony began. Rain started to fall, but it never slowed them down — if anything, it became part of the adventure. Julia and Chad read their vows soaked through, laughing between promises, completely present in the moment.
Once the ceremony ended, we moved in closer to the river for portraits, stepping right into the water. It was cold, but neither of them cared — every second felt too special to rush. Getting married in Costa Rica meant saying yes to the adventure, rain and all, and it was worth every step.
