Arianna, Venezuelan, and Roberto, Costa Rican, wanted a wedding that felt cold and quiet — one where Monteverde’s cloud forest could be part of the ceremony itself. Winter season rarely offers a rain-free afternoon here, but they got exactly that: cool, misty, and dry.

The ceremony took place outdoors in the gardens of Hotel Belmar, with a small lagoon and a wall of cloud forest trees as the backdrop — the kind of fairy-tale setting Monteverde is known for.

The newlyweds’ portrait session followed right after; there was very little time, but the results were spectacular against that same green, misty light. From there, the celebration moved to Restaurante Tramonti for the reception.

Rain finally arrived just as everyone settled in under the roof — the perfect excuse to dance and share delicious pizza while the cloud forest did what it does best outside the windows.
