Frequently Asked Questions Destination Wedding

Planning a destination wedding is an unforgettable experience, full of excitement and love. As a Destination Wedding Photographer specialized in Wedding Photography in Costa Rica, I’ve captured love stories in breathtaking locations – from tropical beaches and misty mountains to luxury boutique hotels. Here are the most common questions couples ask to make sure your wedding day is stress-free and beautifully documented.

FAQ – Wedding Photography

in Costa Rica

1. What’s the best time of year to get married in Costa Rica?

It depends on the atmosphere you dream of for your big day.
The dry season (December to April) is perfect if you want clear blue skies, golden sunsets, and warm weather—ideal for outdoor weddings. However, the green season (May to November) offers lush landscapes, vibrant colors, and a more intimate, romantic vibe—perfect for a unique and adventurous destination wedding in Costa Rica.

2. Do you have experience in different environments?

Absolutely! As a professional Destination Wedding Photographer and specialist in Wedding Photography in Costa Rica, I have worked in breathtaking settings such as white-sand beaches, the magical Monteverde cloud forest, luxury boutique hotels in the mountains, and even in front of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Every location has its own magic, and my goal is to capture that magic in every photo.

3. How do you handle unpredictable weather conditions?

Tropical weather can be unpredictable, but I work with professional equipment resistant to humidity, and I always have a backup plan to make the most of natural light or covered areas.
And if it rains? Rainy-day photos can be stunning—romantic, passionate, and filled with emotion. Some of my favorite wedding photos were taken under the rain!

4. Do you offer pre-wedding or post-wedding sessions?

Yes, and they are some of my favorites! Many couples choose an engagement session before their wedding or a relaxed post-wedding session at the beach or in the mountains. It’s a great way to create diverse memories in different locations.

5. How many photos do you deliver for a full wedding day, and in what format?

You will receive 800 to 1000 professionally edited photos in high resolution, ready to print or share. All photos are delivered watermark-free in a private online gallery, with one-year access for downloads.

6. Do you work alone or with a second photographer?

I often work with a second photographer, which allows us to capture your wedding from different angles and make sure no emotional moment is missed.

7. Do you use dron?

Yes, when weather conditions allow it. Aerial shots add a breathtaking perspective, especially for beach weddings, mountain venues, or tropical gardens.

8. Are travel and accommodation costs included in Costa Rica?

Some frequently visited wedding destinations are included. For more remote locations, we discuss details beforehand, always making the process as easy as possible for you.

9. How long does it take to deliver the final photos?

We know how exciting it is to relive your big day! Every photo is carefully edited to tell your story beautifully. The approximate delivery time is 31 days, and trust me—it’s worth the wait.

10. Can you help recommend locations in Costa Rica for elopements or couple sessions?

Absolutely! As an experienced Destination Wedding Photographer, I know some of the most magical and unique spots in Costa Rica. From secret beaches and scenic mountain views to luxury boutique hotels, every location becomes a dreamy backdrop for authentic, emotional wedding photos.

11. Can you recommend wedding vendors in Costa Rica?

Yes! Once you book with me, I share my exclusive list of trusted wedding vendors—planners, makeup artists, florists, and more. Over the years, I’ve worked with some of the most talented professionals in the country.

12. How do I book and secure my date?

The process is simple:

  1. Fill out my inquiry form with your wedding details.

  2. We schedule a video consultation to discuss your vision.

  3. Sign the contract and pay a 40% retainer (via PayPal for international clients).

  4. The remaining 60% is paid on or the day after your wedding.

Once that’s done, your date is officially booked!

Destination Weddings – Traveling Worldwide for Love Stories

Do you travel outside Costa Rica for weddings or elopements?

Absolutely! I’m a passionate Destination Wedding Photographer, and I love traveling. I’ve photographed weddings in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and Cartagena, Colombia, and I’m ready to follow love anywhere—Europe, the Caribbean, or any exotic destination you dream of.

When should we book for an international wedding?

Ideally 6–12 months in advance, especially during high season, to secure flights, hotels, and all logistics.
